How to Use This Calculator

    Enter the size of your peptide vial in milligrams (mg) — this is printed on the label, e.g. 10mg.

    Enter how many mL of bacteriostatic water you added to the vial. 2mL is the most common amount.

  3. 3

    Enter your dose. Use the mg tab if your protocol says something like "0.25mg." Use the mcg tab if it says "250mcg." They are the same dose — 1mg = 1,000mcg.

    Select your syringe. Most insulin syringes sold in the US are 100-unit (1mL).

  5. 5

    The large number shown is exactly how many units to pull back on your syringe plunger.

Example: 10mg vial + 2mL water + 0.25mg dose on a 100-unit syringe = 5 units. Draw to the "5" line on your syringe.
