Overview
BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide consisting of 15 amino acids. It is a partial sequence of body protection compound (BPC) that is discovered in and isolated from human gastric juice. Stable gastric pentadecapeptide BPC 157 has been shown to be completely stable in human gastric juice, and to have a strong cytoprotective activity.
Mechanism
BPC-157 is believed to interact with the nitric oxide (NO) system, modulating vascular and tissue responses. Research suggests it may upregulate growth hormone receptors in tendon fibroblasts and influence VEGF expression, potentially supporting angiogenesis in laboratory models.
